Just a few weeks ago readers of Off  Road magazine named the new BMW X3 the "Off-Road Vehicle of the Year 2011". Now the BMW X3 is snagging yet another award, taking a firm lead in a reader survey conducted by Europe's best-selling specialist journal for four-wheel drive cars, Auto Bild Allrad.

This is the eleventh time, readers of Auto Bild Allrad have been asked to name their favorite four-wheel drive models among those available from German automakers. This time around, there were over 130 competitors featured in nine different categories.

The BMW M5 is a elite edition of the BMW 5-Series executive car manufactured by BMW's Motorsport division. Revealed at the Amsterdam Motor Show back in '84, the first iteration of the M5 was built by hand utilizing the 535i chassis and a modified BMW M1 engine. It was the fastest production car in the world at the time or its introduction. Subsequent renderings have been built from each generation of the 5-Series platform, including the E34, E39, and E60/61. And, fully retuned, it will once again grace showroom floors in 2012.
