BMW X3 Receives Top Safety Rating

In addition to keeping our readers informed about the latest BMW models like the 2012 bmw 3 series, we at BMW of Riverside want to make sure our customers are kept well abreast of all the great safety features in our vehicles. Recently, the BMW X3 was listed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety as a Top Pick. We want the people driving our cars to be as safe as possible and it feels great to be validated.

To receive the Top Safety Pick honor, a vehicle needs to come standard with electronic stability control and pass with a "Good" score on the roof crush, side impact, rear impact and frontal off-set crash tests. BMWs have always excelled in these tests and we are glad that the X3 could continue our tradition of excellence. I mean, the BMW X3 really has it all: the xDrive all-wheel system, stability control, knee-protection air bags, great handling and even a head-up display to make sure you are looking where you need to be.

Those wacky crash test dummies-now that was a classic band, am I right?-made it through the frontal crash test with a very low risk of receiving any major injuries and during the side impact test there was very low risk of injury as well. When you're driving the X3, we make sure nothing is going to be able to get our airbags and hit you. And finally, in the roof test, which measures what would happen during a rollover, the X3 received a 4.69 strength to weight ratio. That's a great score and one which is higher than a lot of our competitors.

Let's all give it up to the BMW F25 X3 too which just received 5 stars after going through the rigorous crash tests from the Euro NCAP. If you are interested in learning more about the safety features of the X3 or any of our other vehicles, do not hesitate to ask. See you down at the lot!
